Mission
We, the faculty and administration of Silliman Institute, believe that the school represents the center of educational, social, and cultural life in the community. We believe that the philosophy of a school clarifies the purpose of, and gives meanings to the educational process.
We recognize and acknowledge the fact that each child is an individual with varying abilities. We are aware that our students come from diverse backgrounds. We propose, therefore, to develop each student's capabilities to the fullest extent possible.
We also recognize and acknowledge the magnitude of a student's needs in this modern age of the 21st century. We propose therefore, to emphasize spiritual and moral values in academics, art and sports.
We recognize that social values must not be overlooked. Therefore, we propose to stress the qualities of courtesy, kindness, charity, and integrity in the classroom and in everyday life for students, faculty, staff, and administration.
